The Four Hundred Caledonian Road Community Fund – An Introduction
This document explains what the Four Hundred Caledonian Road Community Fund is and how it works.
What we want to do
The Four Hundred Caledonian Road Community Fund collects money from the leaseholders of Four Hundred Caledonian Road through their leases and distributes it for:
‘Community-building at, and the animation and promotion of, Four Hundred Caledonian Road and making a positive contribution to the wider neighbourhood and community of the Caledonian Road area.’
Who we are
The distribution of money is decided by the Four Hundred Caledonian Road Community Fund Management Group (as described in the Constitution, attached). Every year the Group will provide a report to its stakeholders.
How we do it
- We keep the operation of the Fund simple to minimise its running costs.
- We aim to make awards twice a year.
- Applications can be made at any time by email to the Chair of the Fund.
- Application forms will be available from the Four Hundred Caledonian Road website.
What are we looking for?
The Fund’s priorities will change from time to time. The current themes are:
- Health, Happiness and Wellbeing
- Community participation
- Environmental responsibility
We will prioritise applications that:
- Are closer to Four Hundred Caledonian Road
- Affect larger numbers of people
- Attract other funding
- Are for continuing rather than one-off activities
- Are simple to administer
We expect that projects we invest money into will report the benefits they have secured back to us and the final payment will be dependent on receiving this report.
We expect to spend around £2200 each year. We have no maximum or minimum size of grant but will prefer applications between £250 and £500.
